Sunseeker Energy Holding AG (SSE) today announced that independent testing of its 3rd generation prototype has confirmed a maximum efficiency of 38%. Tonkin Engineers & Scientists, an engineering and science consulting firm based in Adelaide, Australia, observed the testing at SSE’s Research Facility in Melbourne, Australia.

“The system’s modular efficiency is expected to increase utilising the knowledge gained through the last two months of intensive system testing”, SSE Technical Director, Antony Howard said.

Alternative Energy Research Group Australia (SSE’s dedicated research provider) is focussing actively on joint venture opportunities to further develop and refine optical systems on the prototype.

Sunseeker Energy Holding AG (SSE) today confirmed the compatibility of the SSE 2nd generation prototype with mains pressure water systems.

SSE tracking hardware has been developed utilising low cost novel components that require none of the usual control systems usually associated with dual axis tracking.

SSE Technical Director, Antony Howard said that the prototype demonstrated the ability for excess energy to be utilised as heat energy. The removal of heat energy and use of such energy elsewhere has helped enhance electrical performance by keeping the wafers at a more constant temperature over a wider range of solar radiation conditions.

The designs have been finalised and are ready for production through licensees and directly through the SSE supply chain.
